Mandibular advancement devices (MAD’s) are known to be effective at reducing sleep bruxism. Use of a MAD can alleviate the number of bruxism episodes per hour during sleep. However the majority of bruxists report pain and discomfort in the mandibular (lower jaw) gums and/or anterior (front) teeth when using a MAD for this purpose instead of snoring.
Do you have any experiences with MAD’s in the treatment of sleep bruxism? We are interested to hear your views and experiences.
